Synopsis

The insecure and sensitive An Lan secretly loves Chen Yu, a dazzling boy who shines like a beacon. “Because he shines, I want to do my best to get closer to him.” Throughout her three years of middle school, An Lan struggled forward through pain and hope. At fifteen, Chen Yu was so outstanding that he earned an early admission to the Beiqing class at Qingnan Affiliated High School. But fifteen-year-old An Lan defied her parents, shouting, “I don’t want to go to City No. 1 High School. I want to go to the affiliated high school!” In the end, she didn’t get her wish, missing the cutoff by fourteen points. At her new school, An Lan became more composed and quickly matured. In the final exams of her first year of high school, she came first in the humanities track for her entire grade, and from then on, her own era began. “Going back to the school where you are is the hardest thing I could do.” At sixteen, An Lan earned a spot in the summer program for the humanities Beiqing class at Qingnan Affiliated High School with her excellent grades, returning to the familiar yet strange campus that held so many memories. “I came back because I wanted to see someone, but it seems the person I wanted to see has forgotten me.” An Lan chose to return to the affiliated high school for Chen Yu. She chose not to stay there for her own sake. Mountain birds and fish follow different paths. From now on, they would never cross again... They grew further apart each time they met, yet drew closer by chance with every missed opportunity... Chen Yu would never know that he was the first person An Lan had ever truly loved, back when she was just beginning to understand romance. And An Lan would never know that the unsent confession letter Chen Yu wrote said, “An Lan, I like you.” The grand days of youth must one day come to an end, but the downpour of “love” that began in those years has yet to let up...

The author's writing style is very good. In fact, this book is not very cruel to me, but more regretful. An Lan is a timid secret admirer, but Chen Yu is a very good person in her eyes. This book makes her secret love very real, and it really embodies it. Secret love does not happen to everyone, but regret is the norm. I wish everyone who has a crush will get their wish (can the author write a male protagonist's perspective! I'm looking forward to it!)

A very real novel. It gave me the motivation to study for the first time. The psychological description of the heroine is very real. The three views of the work are also very positive. There is a lot of touching innocence. Maybe this is a secret love.

An Lan, who likes parallel time and space, can become a better person with the boy he likes and live happily together

The characters in the book are vivid and real. An Lan is a stubborn and independent girl. She has experienced many setbacks and confusion on the way to growth. It shows the beauty and helplessness of youth. The campus life in the story is full of warmth and touching, and the friendship and ignorant love between classmates are all portrayed very delicately.

Although this is a story about secret love, the author used delicate and sensitive writing to write about a growing An Lan. I was very moved [I almost cried] and look forward to the author writing a sequel where An Lan and Chen Yu will meet again!

Ended on 2025.1.4 We don't have God's perspective, we can't clearly see each other's efforts, and we are all misinterpreting each other's love.

I really think this book is very well written, and the author's writing style is superb! The description is very detailed and meticulous. I really hope that the author can show the perspective of the male protagonist again or a second part. Looking forward to it! Looking forward to it! I wish Anlan and Chen Yu a bright future! I also wish the author a smooth life and good health!

There are many people like An Lan in life, so when we meet someone we like, we should be bold and attack without leaving any regrets!
