A Special Forces Soldier Lands in a Song Dynasty Execution Ground and Is Forced to Wear the Imperial Robe

Special forces soldier Song Pin is caught in a space-time maelstrom during an airborne training exercise and lands straight in the execution ground in Yuncheng County, in the seventeenth year of Emperor Huizong's reign. By chance, he saves Song Qinyou, the leader of a rebel group of villagers, and is branded a rebel himself. At the time, the people are living in desperate misery, and uprisings are breaking out across the land. As a soldier, Song Pin wants nothing more than to return to his unit and report in.

Knowing he has little time left, the old leader wants to keep the rebellion alive. Exploiting the people's superstitions, he presents the protagonist as a Son of Heaven who has descended from the sky, then successfully stages his enthronement in the imperial yellow robes and proclaims the Great Qin. But donning the yellow robes is the greatest taboo of the Song court.

Song Pin only wants to return to the modern era and report back to his unit. But after witnessing the court's many cruel abuses of ordinary people, and seeing his candid friend die before his eyes while trying to save him, he finally understands the rebels and resolutely takes up the banner of revolt.

As he faces one punitive campaign after another, he steadily grows stronger.

Since the protagonist's uprising begins two years before Song Jiang's, he gets ahead of the game during those two years, recruiting many heroes before they are driven to Liangshan. Song Jiang is brought into the fold before he ever reaches the mountain, and Fang La is killed by Song Pin on the eve of his uprising.
