I Am an Envoy of Han, Here to Beg for Death!

Being an envoy of the Han Empire was a high-risk occupation, but high risk came with high rewards.

Han envoys often risked their lives to uphold the dignity of their office. Behind that noble sacrifice, however, lay a high-stakes gamble for a prestigious family line, a life of honor for their wives and children, and a place in the history books. When it came to the interests of the state and eternal fame, life was the lowest price of all.

The protagonist, Song Pin, is a soldier who transmigrates to 115 BCE, during the reign of Emperor Wu of the Western Han dynasty.

From the start, he witnesses the Han delegation's heroic deaths as they refuse to yield.

The call of duty awakens within him, launching him on a wild adventure: gathering bandits, fugitives, constables, and smugglers, then passing them off as an official delegation.

“I am an envoy of Han, and I have come to die.” On the surface, these are the courageous words of an envoy who will not betray his principles. But there's a second half he leaves unsaid: “I am an envoy of Han, and I have come to die! Your king will be buried with me, and your country will be destroyed!”

The protagonist even establishes an academy for Han envoys, dedicated to teaching diplomacy that courts death. Behind this seemingly insane plan lie one brilliant stratagem and covert battle after another.

If we, the people of Huaxia, have transmigrated into ancient times, then since we're here, we might as well do something to strengthen the nation. Come with me: let's return to the Han Empire in our dreams and rewrite its glory!
