Just a Little Flutter of the Heart

[Two male leads + school life + unrequited love + obsessive + non-consensual] [An obsessive, restrained, scheming top student x an emotionally detached, awkward, hardworking bottom] After his parents divorced, Su Qingyan went to live with his father. Though not his biological father, the man treated him like his own child. He stayed out of trouble and worked hard at school, wanting only to make his father proud. His first meeting with Shen Xu didn’t go well. Then, that very day, he discovered Shen Xu was a top student. For the sake of his studies, Su Qingyan went out of his way to be friendly. But Shen Xu didn’t give him a warm reception. After Shen Xu’s parents divorced, each started a new family. He was raised by his grandparents, and having grown up without his parents’ company, he had never liked clingy kids. His first meeting with Su Qingyan didn’t go well, either. But as they came to understand each other, they found themselves drawn to one another, recognizing their shared loneliness. Then Shen Xu discovered that Su Qingyan had a severe fear of romantic relationships, which seemed to be connected to his past. So Shen Xu could only suppress his feelings. Even as his heart pounded, he would still say, “I’m only a little bit moved.”
