The whole world was an empty void. To keep himself from going mad, he could only recall the ancient text of wisdom, the Tao Te Ching, from his previous life. In time, he gained insight and created a world of his own: Teyvat. After witnessing the rise and fall of those in power, the System descended. But it arrived at the wrong time and fell asleep. The male lead had no choice but to force-start it, merging it with Teyvat's Heavenly Will and the Irminsul to use as an assistant. Its preliminary quests remained locked until just before the Archon War. The Glory of God. It also informed Du Xincheng and the other heroines that the System would officially activate the moment they released Paimon.
