Great Tang: From the Start, I Have Full Merit and Receive a Heavenly Venerable's Ordination

The Azure Dragon's qi awakens the System. A ten-pull draw yields Mystic Spirit Liquid, remolding his constitution and setting him on the path of cultivation. He slays a weasel spirit seeking a title, foils a three-hundred-year-old water wraith trying to steal a life, and sends a memorial straight to the Eastern Ultimate Marvelous Palace. The Supreme Lord Taiyi, Savior from Suffering, answers by bestowing the divine power of Qinghua. A nine-zhang divine gate swings open, ten thousand souls are saved, and his merit surges by 140,000. He earns the official register of a Rank Eight Nectar Boy and is entered into the Celestial Bureaucracy.

Yet the moment his name is entered into the Celestial Bureaucracy, several gazes follow Qinghua's divine light down into this world. The earthfire outside the temple is still one step from taking form, his master has not returned from his travels, and the ancient qi sunk beneath Embroidered Spring River points toward an unknown heavenly secret upstream. Meanwhile, in a ruined temple outside the city, the one-armed old beggar still carries a boundless karmic debt left by a secret manual from decades ago. Hundreds of li away, the old weasel demon has gathered dozens of troops and vows to raze Returning Spirit Temple to avenge his son.

His cultivation has only opened two meridians, and his path is thick with thorns. Now that his celestial rank has been bestowed, there is no turning back. Lightning-struck wood becomes a brush for drawing talismans, refined Geng metal is forged into a sword blank, the Big Dipper Life-Nurturing Method protects his fate, and the Calamity-Crossing Jar is ready to go. Watch as the young Daoist rides the momentum of a dragon soaring at the Spring Awakening, and draws a clear line between good and evil in a feud spanning generations.
