Pokemon: Meeting Mew and Winning a Dragon Egg from the Start

Hu Wangqiu transmigrates to the Pokemon world and becomes a breeding assistant at the Duwei Research Institute. In two years, he earns a reputation as a famous detective with the help of his God-Tier Choice System. Even Champion Lance seeks him out to help catch Pokémon Hunters. After one operation, Lance gives him an unclaimed Dragon-type Pokémon egg as a reward. After examining it, Professor Duwei excitedly tells him it's a Dragon-type Pokémon and will hatch in seven days.

On his way to deliver some documents to Professor Oak's Laboratory, Hu Wangqiu passes through Viridian City and happens upon Team Rocket getting blasted away by Pikachu. Ash and Misty have just emerged from the rubble. Hu Wangqiu uses Arcanine to teach the inexperienced Ash a lesson. Then the System prompts him to choose between befriending Ash or mocking him. He decisively chooses friendship and immediately obtains one-tenth of Aura's power.

Following the System's prompts, he goes searching for a mysterious Pokémon in the woods behind Professor Oak's Laboratory, only to have a little pink cat tap him on the shoulder from behind. Mew has taken on his appearance to scare him, then laughs and flies away. He gets forty Salac Berries, and the Pokéblock he makes sends Arcanine's speed soaring. With just three days left before registration closes for the Kuncheng Rookie Tournament, Duwei and the principal join forces to rig things so Hu Wangqiu ends up competing.
