Hong Kong Island: Predicting the Financial Crisis, Hunting George Soros

Huo Qixuan transmigrates to Hong Kong in the 1980s, where he binds himself to a financial forecasting System. He sees through the sterling crisis and predicts the property market crash. Just before Soros launches his attack on Southeast Asia, he lays a vast short-selling trap and swallows half of Hong Kong's financial empire. As the Four Great Families see their assets shrink by 70%, he makes a counterintuitive move and acquires an elite school. At the graduation ceremony, the Five-Star Red Flag rises, and the entire student body and faculty stand to sing the national anthem.

The eighteen-year-old richest man in Asia stands beneath the flag and gives a speech: "From now on, this school will run by my rules. If you won't accept that, you can leave." The pro-British trustees stage a mass protest by staying away. He responds by locking the school gates and sending the list of absentees to Beijing. They have labeled themselves.

On the day Soros makes his final move in Hong Kong, Huo Qixuan puts on a suit and walks into the Hong Kong government headquarters. The Chief Executive asks, "How do you plan to deal with him?" Huo taps the short-selling figures jumping across his System panel and smiles:

"I started laying the pieces for this game three years ago. He came here over the corpses of Southeast Asia, and I just happen to need a sacrifice to establish my reputation in global finance."
