Survival: A Legendary Fishing Rod from the Start, I'll Never Come Home Empty-Handed

Five billion people are thrown into a survival game at sea at the same time. Each gets only a ramshackle wooden raft, a shoddy fishing rod, and a hook on a line. From the start, though, Ling Chu draws a legendary Lucky Freezer Octopus Fishing Rod from her newbie blind box. It never comes back empty, comes with its own bait, and can catch special items. While everyone else is worrying about finding a few planks, she has already caught a Ring of Undead Bones, inherited the Ghost Pirate class, and gained the Ghost Dance, which lets her teleport ten meters, along with an incredible skill that resurrects skeletons.

While the whole server cries out that they have no water or food, Ling Chu sits in a folding chair, munching on blueberry bread, with more than thirty glowing starfish piled around her for light. On an island, she runs into Sanfuyue, a wanted pirate. He lays an ambush to rob and kill her, but Ling Chu counters with a single slash, claiming his sin points and triggering the hidden Bounty Hunter inheritance, which doubles her bounty rewards.

She wipes the blood from her dagger and glances at the black speck drifting toward her across the distant sea. It's Sanfuyue's sailboat. A System notification appears: Unclaimed pirate ship detected. Inherit it?

Ling Chu puts away her dagger and grins. "Can't complain about that haul."
