Great Tang: Whipped from the Start, I Roar at the Emperor to Call Me Crown Prince

When Li Chengqian opened his eyes, Chengxin was dancing in front of him with her male lover. Li Shimin had already sent men storming into the Eastern Palace to execute everyone before his eyes, then dragged him to the Zichen Hall and lashed him mercilessly. When the fifth lash struck his face, he finally snapped.

Clutching his bloodied face, he roared at the emperor, "Your Majesty, please call me Crown Prince! My legs are already crippled, and you still look down on me! Keep the throne for yourself forever. Don't you dare hand it to me!" Then he turned and limped away, leaving Li Shimin standing there in a daze.

But he was more clear-headed than the original owner of this body. He ordered He Gan Chengji, the sort of man who would betray him in the future, shot dead that very night. He sent Zhang Sizheng to contact Prince Qi, Li You. He brought Su Yu'er back to his side, and a wheelchair was already being built. He chose to rebel, not out of ambition, but to stay alive.

While Li Shimin was still pleased by the Wei Prince's docility, Li Chengqian had already quietly laid all the groundwork. Years later, when he returned to the imperial palace and said to the emperor who had once whipped him, "I respectfully invite Your Majesty to ascend to the throne of Retired Emperor," who would still remember the lame Crown Prince who once paced outside the hall?
