Pokemon: With Psychic Powers, No Gym Can Stop Me

Chen Qi, the only son of a family of superpowered elites, has a grandfather who is a top superpower trainer in Donghuang and a father who is a superpower Gym Leader. For his coming-of-age ceremony, he receives a Shiny Beldum. With such a destined start, he was just about to lie flat and enjoy life when an energy disturbance erupts in the Spiritveil Secret Realm. Wild Pokémon across the entire map go berserk, Gym-level monsters are everywhere, and his teammates are on the brink of death.

While others flee, he farms monsters. While others band together, he carries the team, even beating an ancient Hisuian Typhlosion until it questions its existence. On the way back, he casually swipes some loot, and Ceruledge instantly reaches Gym level while Rapidash becomes a training maniac. But this is just an appetizer. When he sets out for the Donghuang League with his max-level Psychic-type lineup, his very first stop is a Grass-type Gym. The popular Gym Leader Zhang Jia livestreams her title defense, with a million viewers watching online.

Everyone expects the rookie to crash and burn. Instead, Chen Qi's Gardevoir pulverizes the entire field with a single Psychic attack. The live chat explodes, the Gym Leader is dumbfounded, and the Gym's Grass-type Pokémon all shut themselves away in despair. Psychic beats Grass? No, Chen Qi's Psychic powers are the answer to anyone who dares challenge him. Gifted with Psychic powers, he is unstoppable at the Gyms. This isn't a slogan; it's the last thought every opponent has before falling.
