Pokemon: Pirate High-Tech, and You Call This a Beginner's Setup?

After Su Sheng, the greatest scientist in the Pirate world, was blasted to death by Imu, he somehow transmigrated to the Pokemon world. He had barely landed when he saw an old woman throw an Umbreon into the street like a monster. Dark-type? Black skin and red eyes? Bad luck? Su Sheng immediately took the abandoned little Pokemon home. "Stick with me from now on, and I'll make sure you eat well and live the good life."

But even feeding himself was a problem, so Su Sheng got by winning snacks by picking on children. Then Banmu came looking for him. After a sparring match left Umbreon unconscious, Banmu said, "This Eevee's talent is too poor. Its ceiling is the Elite Four at best." Su Sheng shot back, "And what if I break through the ceiling?" That very night, Banmu gave him an unlimited credit card and a seaside villa.

When Andeneisi became a wanted fugitive, Su Sheng's eyes lit up. The perfect experimental subject. Banmu lent his old client his ace Beedrill. On Route 45, just after Su Sheng had tied up a man, Lance descended from the sky to arrest him. Dragonite's dive was deflected by Beedrill, sending it flying. Lance froze in shock, while Su Sheng laughed behind his mask. His first lab rat was as good as caught.
