Cultivation for All in Journey to the West: Turning the Tables on Heaven and Spirit Mountain

After transmigrating as eighteen-year-old Li Shimin, he is immediately seized by the underworld. The Journey to the West script has already been written: the Spirit Mountain and the Heavenly Court have joined forces to make him send Tang Sanzang west to fetch the scriptures. He has barely finished cursing when the System panel appears: Supreme Human Emperor System. Spend points to level up. The treasury is so empty it echoes? Spend a point, and billions of taels of silver pour in. The granaries are nearly bare? Spend another point, and a million dan of grain appear out of nowhere. The whole court drops to its knees, crying that Heaven has shown a miracle, and the nation's fortune rises by five points.

Even more absurd, after he spends points on the Sage's Shrine, Fang Xuanling awakens the true energy of the scholarly path. He can summon wind and rain, and turn beans into soldiers. A mere teacher becomes an immortal cultivator. After points are spent on the General's Residence, Cheng Yaojin and Qin Shubao's combat power goes through the roof. One punch is enough to break through a city wall. Reclining on the Dragon Throne, Li Shimin considers his options: spend points on the imperial palace and his royal aura will surge; spend points on the Imperial College and the whole nation will study and cultivate immortality.

When the entire court kneels and begs His Majesty to say when he will conquer the Spirit Mountain, he studies the System panel and smiles. "Don't rush. First, let those bald monks bring the scriptures to us. Imagine how interesting it'll be when they're halfway here and discover that everyone in Great Tang can fly through the sky and burrow through the earth."
