Detective Conan: War Radar, Concealing a Blade to Protect Ran

Yona was once a child soldier in a war zone. After killing countless enemies, he was locked inside a shipping container. When he opened his eyes again, he had transmigrated to Beika City. When Eri Kisaki was kidnapped, he slipped into the bandits' hideout, killed seven of them with a kitchen knife, and dragged her out. Eri immediately decided to adopt him and take him back to Japan.

On his first day at the Mouri household, he squats in the kitchen helping Ran Mouri peel potatoes. Conan watches from behind the door as he chops with more skill than a professional hitman. At the scene of the first murder, the culprit grabs a knife and lunges at Kogoro. Yona snatches up a dagger and, in a single move, severs the tendons in the man's wrist, trips him, steps on his back, and pins the knife point into the floor right beside his ear. The police in the room all freeze. Juzo Megure stares at him. "Who is this kid?"

When Conan is kidnapped at a camping villa, Yona sneaks into a passageway and runs into the kidnappers. One swings a steel pipe at him. He dodges to the side and counters with a meat cleaver, slicing half a sleeve off. Mutsumi Nishikawa turns and runs, screaming, "Call the police! Hurry and arrest me! That kid's going to chop me to death!"

Later, Ai Haibara wipes the blood from his face. "You promised not to kill anyone." Yona obediently nods and quietly tucks the spare dagger hidden in his boot a little farther inside. He hadn't killed anyone, after all. He'd only taken a little skin off.
