One Piece: From the Start, Hunting Celestial Dragons and Rising to the Four Emperors Alone

After transmigrating into the world of One Piece, Alsace is trapped in the Celestial Dragons' human-hunting game in the Kingdom of Pilt from the start. He's a fifteen-year-old orphan with no special lineage and no Devil Fruit. The most valuable thing he owns is the phone System left over from his previous life, Xiao Ai: it offers automatic navigation, weather forecasts, potential boosts, and a kill record. When the Marines herd civilians into a plaza to use as targets, he hides in an alley, slits a patrolman's throat, then steals his clothes, seven thousand Berries, and a sharp blade.

Four days into his voyage, a storm hits. The mast snaps and the ship capsizes. Clutching his katana, he swims through the deep sea for two whole hours, then uses the System's navigation to reach Yubru Island. At a tavern, he walks right into Capone Bege single-handedly smashing the place up. Alsace squats behind the bar, eating pizza, when Bege presses a gun to his forehead. "Are you Orphy's son?" Alsace bites through a spicy snack, then whips around and slices off the tavern owner's head, splattering Bege with blood.

Bege freezes for three seconds, then grins. "Work for me." Alsace flicks the blood off his blade and walks into the night without looking back.

"I'll help you conquer the world, but I won't be your subordinate."
