Ultraman: I Touched the Plasma Spark and Became a Gangster

The moment the hand of blue scientist Ai Xinglan touched the Plasma Spark, he saw not the glory of power, but a five-thousand-year sentence in the Cosmic Prison. On the brink of despair, the sign-in System activated, but what it gave him was not salvation. It was a shortcut leading into endless darkness.

Exiled by the Land of Light, he was forced to survive in the shadows of the stars. He signed in at the Monster Graveyard and took command of an army of the dead; he checked in at the Dark Nebula and recruited space pirates. With the System and his wits, Ai Xinglan pushed the boundaries of the law and built a "gray order" that made the entire universe take notice. He was no longer a warrior of light, but an "interstellar power broker" who walked between light and darkness.

When danger once again threatened the Land of Light, Father of Ultra offered him the stars, Zero cried out for help, and Hikari revoked his wanted status... To their horror, they discovered that the blue alien they had once exiled had become the one they had to look up to and beg for help: the godfather of the cosmic underworld.

The appeal: A comeback story about the Land of Light's greatest "stain," and a wild life that takes him from science nerd to dark overlord. When Ultraman starts talking about "the rules," the whole universe has to play by his laws.
