Naruto: A Clan Massacre Illusion, Summoning Sima Yi to Help Shisui

On the Eastern Front, Shisui has just rescued over a hundred wounded soldiers from the rear camp when Koku Kaho publicly accuses him: "This is all the Uchiha's fault." Standing amid the blood, he watches the people he saved glare at him with resentment. For the first time, he feels lost.

"Would you like to know the Uchiha's future?" a voice asks inside his mind. Shisui selects "Yes," and pushes his Mangekyō Sharingan to its limit. A vision of the clan's massacre unfolds like hell: the clan compound runs with blood, every corpse has had its eyes gouged out, and the figure standing among the bodies is Itachi.

Sima Yi steps out of the moonlight and becomes his strategist. Lesson one: the attack on the rear camp wasn't an accident. Someone deliberately leaked information to lure the enemy in. Shisui interrogates the prisoners overnight, and sure enough, Mitokado Shogo's defenses had "just happened" to leave a gap where they met the Mist Shinobi. Lesson two: don't pursue the Mist Shinobi during a night raid. If you do, they'll pin the blame on you. Shisui suppresses his fighting spirit and pulls back, watching the enemy escape.

While Koku Kaho is still dragging her feet on sending reinforcements and Nara Suzaku weighs the pros and cons, Shisui has already placed his first piece on Sima Yi's chessboard: make Konoha incur a debt to the Uchiha that it can never repay.
