Hogwarts: Taking the Killing Curse and Carrying Hermione Home

Su Er transmigrates as a baby. The moment he opens his eyes, he sees the green flash of Avada Kedavra, then gets swept into a hazy vision by a white curtain. A girl in a white dress named Ariana tells him, You have to go. When he opens his eyes again, he's become the lucky child adopted by the Ellison family. His adoptive parents treat him like an angel, and the girl next door is Hermione Granger: two big front teeth, a head of bushy brown hair, and a love of books and arguing over details. She's exactly as he remembers her.

On the day he graduates from primary school, his Hogwarts letter arrives right on time, and Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall come to visit in person. Dumbledore waves his Elder Wand, making teacups sprout little legs and dance, then turning a wooden chair into a silver-white unicorn. Angel is already galloping around the house on a little horse. The old man hands Su Er a key. This was left behind by your birth parents.

Hermione stands beside him, clutching his sleeve tightly. Su Er looks down at the key in his palm, then at the girl beside him with her eyes reddened. He turns to Dumbledore with a smile. Professor, I have one request before I enroll. Could you let Hermione come to Hogwarts with me?
