Card Era 1

The entire world plunged into the apocalypse overnight. Water sources dried up, food vanished, cities became silent ruins, and all ordinary supplies disappeared completely. The material foundation humanity depended on for survival had collapsed.

Only mysterious cards descended upon the world, becoming everyone's sole means of staying alive. Crush a card, and the item printed on it appears out of thin air. Supplies, tools, weapons: anything is possible. What you get is entirely a matter of luck.

The cards have clearly defined ranks, with enormous differences in quality. Low-level cards can only be exchanged for small amounts of drinking water or dried food, while high-level cards can yield shelters, medicine, and defensive gear. There are two ways to obtain cards: every morning at eight, each person in the world automatically receives three cards of random ranks, or they can take part in a globally synchronized quiz competition.

The rules of the quiz are merciless. Answer correctly, and you earn extra cards. Answer incorrectly, and seventy percent of all the cards you hold are taken away immediately.

In this desperate situation, human nature is magnified to the extreme. Some risk their lives in the quiz for a slim chance of survival, while others play it safe and wait for their three daily cards. Suspicion, competition, and cooperation unfold one after another. In this wasteland stripped of everything, tiny cards decide who lives and dies. Every choice determines whether you will see the sun rise tomorrow.
