Light Rain in the Covered Corridor

When Lin Yan first saw Su Qingyan in his freshman year, a long, gentle rain began to fall in his heart. She was the cool, distant campus belle whom everyone admired from afar, quiet and aloof like moonlight concealed in a thin mist. He watched her from a distance, hiding his feelings throughout their four years at university. They crossed paths countless times on the sports field and in the covered walkways, but the confession always died on his lips.

As graduation season arrived, their days together were about to come to an end. Then, a sudden accident struck. In that critical moment, Lin Yan didn't hesitate for a second before throwing himself in front of Su Qingyan to protect her.

She survived unharmed, but he was gone forever, lost on that rainy day.

Only as the years passed did Su Qingyan gradually learn that the boy who had always appeared quietly at the edge of her vision had kept his love hidden for four whole years, never once speaking of it. The fine rain still drifted through the campus walkways, but the boy who never got to confess would never return. That secret love of their youth ended forever with graduation, leaving only endless regret, lingering year after year with the rain.
