I Command a Million-Man Army, and You Call Me a Useless Prince?

Li Fan transmigrates and becomes the Empress of Great Zhou's own son. Just as he is planning to lie flat and enjoy life, the Empress forces him to marry into the grasslands.

Faced with a disastrous start, Li Fan stays completely calm. He marries a princess of the grasslands, uses the deadly ploy of setting three warriors against one another with two peaches to provoke infighting among the tribes, weakens them with an Edict of Grace, wins over their chieftains with luxuries like silk, and subdues the eighteen tribes of the grasslands with his peerless martial prowess.

As spring turns to winter, Khan Wu Guli arrives holding a bright yellow robe. He kneels and bows reverently. "Heavenly Khan, the weather's getting cold. Put on a yellow robe."

Li Fan dons the yellow robe, restores the Tang kingdom, and leads a million troops on a righteous campaign to pacify the realm. One urgent letter after another races from the grasslands to Chang'an, leaving the civil and military officials in an uproar.

"That despicable usurper has crowned himself on the grasslands. He overestimates himself and will bring about his own destruction."

"The brutal Li Fan has led three hundred thousand troops across the border. No one can stand against the direction of his sword."

"His Highness the Sixth Prince moves with the speed of the wind and attacks like fire. He's a living war sage, and has already reached the outskirts of the capital."

"The most exalted, honored, and supreme Emperor has finally returned to his loyal Chang'an."

Outside the bloodstained Xuanwu Gate, Li Fan looks at the Empress and smiles. "Please address me as Your Majesty, Mother."
