Fisherman's Song on the Water

For the Lian family boat people, whose lives are bound to a single boat, a single family, and a lifetime on the water, the sun rises over the eastern shore of Dongting Lake and sets over the western shore.

There are no exceptions.

Naturally, the lake's shores are the fences around their entire world.

But there are exceptions to everything.

One day, the next generation of their people will finally be able to set foot on land.

The lives of generations trapped on the water, caught in cycles of life and death, their past woven with laughter and tears, will one day, many years from now, become an ordinary yet stirring story told over a cup of tea.
