Football’s Comeback King

A coach who once managed Ye Yifeng said: “He's like a lottery ticket that pays out every weekend.” Scouts who track Ye Yifeng write similar assessments in their reports: “Mediocre ability, a wide range of strengths, wildly inconsistent, but always able to create goals.” Does he miss an open goal like a devotee of happy football? Does he let the ball run three meters away to showcase the level of Chinese football? Does he trip over his own feet while dribbling and expose himself as an undercover agent? But whenever his team is mired in despair, the moment he sends the ball into the opposition's net, he shines like a beacon in the eyes of the fans! Top managers love him and hate him in equal measure. They often look to the heavens in exasperation and ask: “Can someone give me an instruction manual for Ye Yifeng?” Then, after a match, they embrace him passionately and roar: “You're finally online!” Ye Yifeng shrugs and smiles. “Welcome to my last-minute winner.”
