Creation time and background: The oral recording was compiled from June to October 2001. A total of 24 audio tapes were recorded and nearly 30 manuscripts were transcribed. Style characteristics: A non-naturalistic surreal novel, which is defined as a psychological realist novel because it involves a large number of psychologically sensitive issues. The structure is compact, the story is complete, the narrative is natural, the plot is bizarre, the theme is serious, and the thoughts are healthy. It not only has the twists and turns of the story, making it suitable for reading from a realistic level; it is also rebellious and questioning of traditional narrative novels in terms of reason and sensibility; while exploring the good and evil of human nature, and reflecting on the beauty and ugliness of right and wrong, it also provides a detailed, in-depth, objective and frank description of human psychology from the dual perspectives of a third party and an authority. Do not avoid conflicts in reality, do not comment on the authenticity of comments, do not focus on privacy, and do not sensationalize the content. The story of the whole book revolves around a 20-story new apartment building. The characters appear alternately, echoing each other, and the clues are meticulous. About 30 characters undertake different tasks in seven stories. Each story is an independent chapter, and the novel can be read from any chapter.
