The Qing Dynasty's Head Steward

"What's the most valuable thing in the 21st century? Talent!" "What's the most profitable thing in the 21st century? First, robbing a bank: low investment, big returns. But first you need the nerve, and second, you need to live long enough to spend the money. Another option is playing the stock market. It's one person making money off nine others, so you have to be smarter than those nine, and you'll need capital too. Then there's real estate: don't aim for the best, just aim for the most expensive..." But then Tang Hao ended up in the Qing dynasty. No real estate, no stocks... And somehow he became a bandit chief. So let's clean up our image and go legit. As long as it makes us rich, we'll extort corrupt officials, join forces with local bullies, and rely on the imperial court while keeping a foot in the jianghu. We won't take official posts, but we'll be bigger than the officials. We won't be bandits, but even bandits will call us boss! We don't want fame or rank. We just want beautiful women in our arms and a house full of gold and silver. There's no need to place first in the imperial examinations to make a name for yourself. Become a man of immense wealth, a great merchant of the Qing dynasty, and you'll be famous throughout the land!
