Mecha Are Devouring My Martial Arts

In the 372nd year of the Interstellar Era, mechs rule the sea of stars, while ancient martial arts have been reduced to an accessory.

Everyone in the Federation believes that martial arts power mechs, that the human body can subdue steel, that overloading can make one a god, and that dying in battle is glorious.

No one knows that humanity has already fallen into a deadly misconception.

A mech's power core is, in essence, a furnace that drains a martial artist's blood and vital force.

Every glorious victory comes at the cost of a martial artist's lifespan and cultivation.

Not one of the mech war gods of past generations met a good end.

The stronger the mech, the more it devours the foundations of martial arts. The more dazzling the record, the more it drains away the pilot's remaining years.

Lu Chenyan, a retired mech repair specialist, possesses the Martial Insight Eye, which lets him see the hidden life-draining wear in every mech.

While everyone else scrambles to pilot high-grade mechs and chase fleeting fame across the sea of stars,

he alone repairs battered armor, rebuilds mech-martial systems, and severs the steel shackles that devour lives.

When every war god in the Federation suffers the collapse of their martial arts, runs out of lifespan, and is reduced to a cripple,

Lu Chenyan will use scrap metal and old armor to rewrite the age-old mistake

so mechs can protect martial arts, and flesh and blood no longer have to be sacrificed to steel!
