Year 350246 of the Immortal Dynasty, June.

At the annual student immortal examination, Lu Yu was found to have a superior-grade Metal spiritual root and was deemed to have the makings of a Golden Core cultivator.

He was admitted to Tianhong Academy, the eighth-level Immortal Dao academy in the prefectural city of Tiannan Prefecture.

On his very first cultivation session, after reaching the first Qi Refining level, Lu Yu suddenly found himself in another world. A "Nine Realms Tower" had also appeared in his sea of consciousness, allowing him to travel between the two worlds.

Granted such an astonishing opportunity, Lu Yu began to dream of standing at the very pinnacle of the world.
