I’ll Take This Job at the Celestial Court

As soon as Lu Qingyun arrives in the Heavenly Court, he discovers that becoming an immortal is only the beginning.

Cultivation takes spirit stones, traveling requires an immortal boat, and even the sword in his hand is secondhand.

To build up his savings, he takes a job delivering an order through a sea of lightning.

The boat nearly capsizes, the sword nearly breaks, but at least he collected half the payment upfront.

Later, he searches for a missing immortal beast, delivers a message to a mountain god who refuses to leave home, and brings back a furnace of immortal pills from a demon's lair... More and more people come to him for help.

Lu Qingyun's cultivation advances, his cave residence gets upgraded, and a saying gradually spreads throughout the Heavenly Court:

If a job is hard to handle, find Lu Qingyun.

Looking at the line of various immortals outside his door, he first sets down his tea.

“Everyone, friendship is one thing.”

“But last time was the new-client rate.”
