The Ancient Era’s Defiance of the Gods

For generations, people have passed down the tale that the gods created the world, that Heaven’s Way is just, and that fate cannot be defied. But no one knows that the gods of the heavens are thieves who stole the Dao. Ten thousand years ago, they tore apart the source of the Ancient Dao, slaughtered the first people, rewrote the history of Heaven and Earth, and imposed the shackles of divine supremacy and mortal inferiority. They reaped the incense offerings of countless lives and trapped all beings in a cage of destiny. Lin Jin was born with a useless spiritual root and was fated to die at eighteen. He was the last surviving descendant of the catastrophe that befell the Ancient Dao. On his eighteenth birthday, the divine punishment thunder struck, awakening the seal of the desolate ancient Dao fragments that dwelled within his soul. The lies of ten thousand years shattered before his eyes. Divine authority is an illusion. Fate is a prison. He would not worship the gods or believe in Heaven. Bearing the remnant power of the Ancient Dao, he rose from the mortal world, crossed the Spirit Ruins, braved the Abyss, and waged war against the divine court of the Nine Heavens. He shattered false idols, struck down gods who had descended to earth, and tore open the bloody secrets the gods had buried. As faith and incense offerings faltered and the old divine order teetered on the brink of collapse, the Creator Primordial Venerable who had stolen the Dao awoke from his slumber. This battle was not to rule the ages, but to shatter the shackles and forge a new path of equality. Mortal bones can defy the gods, and all living beings can prove the Dao!
