Borrow Thunder, Command Lightning

Lu Jin is a collateral member of the Lu family, with a fire-type awakened core at the third level. His flame is no bigger than a bean, and even a breeze can bend it. Everyone says he's only there to make up the numbers. That is, until he finds a worm-eaten booklet in his father's cellar, with four words written on it: "Borrow thunder, wield lightning." From then on, the Shui family's water walls become his conductors, the Jin family's magnetic blades his triggers, and the pure fire the Huo family has cultivated for forty years is pierced through a mountain by a single blue-white needle of his. The great clans say that the study of natural principles is heresy, and should have died forty years ago. Lu Jin says, "The fire bestowed by heaven and earth doesn't care about bloodline."
