The Tumubao Crisis

In the autumn of the fourteenth year of the Zhengtong era, Emperor Yingzong of Ming personally led a campaign. A Divine Engine Battalion musketeer falsely accused of desertion, a Court of the Imperial Sacrifices scholar who has feigned madness for ten years, and a lonely girl from a frontier garrison, forgotten by the court: within thirty days, they must fight their way upstream through the tide of defeat and expose a shocking conspiracy before the disaster at Tumu Fortress unfolds. It began brewing in the first year of the Zhengtong era, entangled the Oirat and the imperial court, and was to be paid for with the blood of five hundred thousand Ming soldiers.
