Scrap Iron Frenzy

An alien fleet arrives, and chips across the globe fail. Planes crash, and power grids collapse. Lin Chuan, a materials science graduate, is sent to work at a scrap yard. All he has is a welding torch and forty-seven tons of scrap metal. The System activates. Three hours later, he shoots down an alien scout ship with a crude cannon welded from scrap.
