The Death of Deduction

Seven top detective novelists, each representing a different school, receive a "specially crafted" invitation from an online blogger to travel to a remote island and solve the locked-room mystery in the villa of the godfather of detective fiction, Qiang Tuili. But disaster strikes: the first writer is murdered in the locked room, and the scene bears a "death message" that only the real killer could know. Each writer excels at a different style of deduction: classical fair-play mysteries, social realism, hard-boiled fiction, courtroom mysteries, avant-garde mysteries, narrative trickery, and the new orthodox school. They try to find the killer using the methods they know best, but every deduction leads to another death. Should they keep investigating and unravel the mystery, or stop now to save themselves? Is this all a trap? A shameless bid for attention? Or the eruption of old grudges and a murder for revenge? Was the dead person the victim? Must the killer be among the living? When an online acquaintance far away unexpectedly uncovers the truth, everyone returns to the story's opening scene
