The Pitchside Oracle: Starting with Leeds United

At heart, I'm a scout, a very good scout, the kind with a cheat.

In 2002, I recommended Messi to the club.

Then came Grafite, Wesley Sneijder, Didier Drogba, Diego Milito, Luca Toni, Luis Suarez, Franck Ribery, Luka Modric, Gareth Bale, and Jamie Vardy.

As a manager, I've mainly accomplished three things in my life:

Leeds United's rebirth, the Foxes' miracle, and

Manchester United's revival!

If I have any other achievement to my name, it's helping advance sports science.

I'm ashamed to say I've only done a little bit of work.

They all say I'm the world's best scout, a great football manager, and a selfless club owner.

I'm the maker of miracles, the Red Devils' savior, and the eternal traitor and godfather of the White Roses.

But of all the names they've given me, this is my favorite:

The Pitchside Seer.

I'm Wayne Li, and this is my story.

My previous novel, What Do You Mean, a Fallen King?, is complete at 2 million words. I hope you enjoy it.
