Linchuan

Everyone says the higher you cultivate, the more of yourself you lose. But no one told them that in the end, that is how you attain perfection.

Xiaoyou, come on. Your senior brother will take you to other worlds.

Senior Brother, could you wait for me a moment? Just two minutes. I want to say something, and I also want an answer. I'm going to ask her.

All right. Go ahead.

Sister Shen, after losing you, I've never tried to love anyone else. Do you know why? Because losing the ability to love is the greatest price a relationship can exact.

I really did love you so much back then. When I ate, when I cultivated, whenever I felt down or was shunned and slandered by the people of my clan, I would always see you. Every time I was in trouble, you came to help me. But in the end, I underestimated you and overestimated myself.

I only understand now that the moon at night does not shine on me alone. Your kindness is carved into your very bones. It was my foolishness that made you sad.

I let myself go mad once. Without Xiaoyou, love itself is endless suffering. The only cure is the other person's response and an equal measure of love.

I helped you only because I felt sorry for you and happened to lend a hand. That was all. I'm sorry I gave you the wrong idea.

But, but I couldn't make it into your heart.

Mm.

Don't look back. There are flowers and happiness ahead, just none of it with me. Don't worry, we're destined to see each other every day, but we're also destined not to be together. Spring still lingers beneath the pear blossoms, but never meeting again is the norm.

Xiaoyou, come. Your senior brother will take you away.

I'll take you to see new worlds.

By then, there should be someone who wants the two of us.
