Flower Sculpture Exhibition

Florist Ah Tang runs a small shop in a downtown corner, but refuses to tie flowers into clichéd round bunches. She broke apart the roses and paired them with dead branches, clematis and emperor flowers. She used asymmetrical lines and white space to make each bouquet look like a silent sculpture. Passersby are in a hurry, no one stops. Until a gallery curator passed by and was stunned in front of the display window - she saw the outline of the building and the breathing gap in the flowers. The curator invited Atang to hold a "living art exhibition" using flowers as a medium. On the opening night, visitors got close to the imperfect and graceful flower branches, and suddenly understood: the true sense of art is never to please anyone, but to allow each flower to dare to be itself.
