Chen Shi, a college student in desperate situation in Beidiao, is trapped in a cramped and humid basement in Beijing. He faces the double desperation of his landlord's eviction deadline and his mother's withdrawal from medicine and lack of money. When he was desperate, he refused the high-paying gray data falsification job, unwilling to abandon his true heart and become a slave to algorithms and interests. He resolutely gave up the false aura of the urban elite, took a handful of dry wicker from his hometown Huoqiu, and finalized a desperate wicker business plan to return to his hometown. Starting from scratch, he settled in an abandoned cloud warehouse, survived the dilemma of running out of funds, endured the humiliation of being unrecognized, and deeply cultivated the centuries-old willow weaving craftsmanship in his hometown. He broke through the chaos in the industry, formulated standardized quality control, discovered the ingenuity and warmth hidden in the rough utensils of experienced craftsmen, abandoned frivolous packaging, and impressed the market with authentic hand-made textures. At the same time, he teamed up with designer Gu Qinghe to empower local handicrafts with aesthetics, freeing old wickerwork from the cheap label and adapting to urban consumer aesthetics.
