Honghuang: The Sky Screen Reveals the Jade Emperor as the Mastermind

The Primordial sky screen descends, livestreaming the Three Realms’ tale of the Three Great Rebels of the Heavenly Court. Everyone thinks the Jade Emperor is a puppet, a spineless coward, a powerless ruler whose orders cannot even get past the South Heaven Gate. Until the sky screen reveals the truth: He wept not out of grievance, but for the dignity of the Heavenly Dao; He sought not protection, but to address the hidden dangers threatening the Three Realms; He used the Dao Ancestor’s hand to centralize power, and the calamity of the Investiture of the Gods to establish the Heavenly Emperor’s authority. Without incurring karmic consequences or moving a single soldier, he wept forth 365 righteous gods and 84,000 heavenly soldiers. And Yang Jian was merely the most crucial piece on his chessboard. The Investiture of the Gods was only the beginning. The Two Sages of the West had a sinister scheme, but the Jade Emperor turned it to his advantage. That was the real game. The Jade Emperor transformed from a spineless ruler into the mastermind behind the scenes, while Yang Jian went from a rebellious filial son to the Heavenly Court’s sharpest blade. The Investiture calamity, the fall of countless immortals, the Sages’ machinations: it was all the Jade Emperor’s script. One cry to settle the fate of all beneath Heaven. No karmic consequences, no soldiers moved, and the Three Realms turned upside down. Now the Two Sages of the West’s sinister scheme has come to light, and the Jade Emperor is turning it to his advantage. Beneath the sky screen, who is the true player, and who is the pawn? Yang Jian’s story was merely an appetizer. The real show is just beginning.
