The tides of the world shift: divided for long enough, it will unite; united for long enough, it will divide.

Fang Yi was born from a sea of corpses. The great clans and sects came after him, his father died a tragic death, and he narrowly escaped.

Crushed beneath the tide of the world, he could barely breathe. He realized that alone, he was no match for a crowd, and there was very little he could do.

“I’m going to found a sect and use the tide of the world to stand against the tide!”

To take revenge and change the old order, he needed allies!

Many years later, Fang Yi stepped onto a mountain peak. Opening his arms to embrace the vast, radiant world, he shouted, “Don’t worry about the road ahead, for you’ll find friends everywhere. Who in all the world doesn’t know you?”

More than fifty people stood behind him on the mountaintop.

“Quit showing off. Those beings are already here. If we don’t act now, the Five Realms will fall.”

He wasn’t the only one fighting back against this calamity. His rivals had already made their names feared beyond the heavens.

His followers joined him in battle, using every shady trick imaginable: raiding people’s homes, cheating, and swindling.

The Hall of Yama was cursed as a den of bandits, guilty of every crime imaginable. As their leader, he wasn’t exactly renowned for his virtue. Before, only people in the Five Realms called him Fang the Bandit. Now, everyone who had a mouth called him Fang the Bandit.

Those who had followed him in rising up against the world shook their heads and sighed. “Who in all the world doesn’t know you? More like, who in all the world doesn’t know you’re a bandit?”

“I’m trying to have a moment here. Can you bastards stop ruining it?”
