Communications were disrupted, traffic was paralyzed, and hospitals became unresponsive. When common systems such as water supply, electricity, logistics, medical care and security failed one after another in just a few days, people discovered for the first time that a city's true existence is never just high-rise buildings and roads. No one knows why the disaster happened, and no one knows whether so-called "normal life" can ever return.
