Bringing Together the World from Guigu to Xianyang

The creation of this novel originated from my love for the history of the Warring States Period. By chance, when I was visiting Yunmeng Mountain in Henan last year, the special group of people who stirred up the entire history of the Warring States Period - Guigu disciples - came to my mind. When I wrote the title of the book "The World", I seemed to see the figure standing on the top of Yunmeng Mountain, overlooking all living beings. So, I conceived a modern soul, and accidentally fell into this magnificent era in the game "Ghost Valley Secret Realm". Using a time travel and taking the eternal elixir of Guiguzi, the protagonist Zhang Ziling transcends time and space and becomes the foundation of Guigu. He experiences the changes in time and space from the rise of Wei to Liu Bang's entry into Xianyang, and the geographical migration from Guigu to Xianyang. He travels around the country and completes a spiritual journey of the Warring States Period that spans three hundred years. From the prosperous age of virtuous corporals created by Marquis Wen of Wei, to the rise of Qin after Shang Yang's reform; from the contention of a hundred schools of thought in the Jixia Academy of Qi, to the military innovation of Zhao's Hufu cavalry and archery; from King Zhao of Yan's golden platform to pay homage to the generals, to King Huai of Chu's death in Xianyang; from the gradual disappearance of South Korea's reputation as "Jinhan", to the eventual unification of the six countries by Qin Shihuang, and finally the grassroots emperor Liu Bang took control of Xianyang, ushering in the 400-year prosperous age of the Han Dynasty. This is a story about how modern people gamble with fate when they know the ending of history. The protagonist Zhang Ziling will bring our modern understanding of democracy, equality, and human rights into an era where power and force speak for themselves. Under Guigu's disciples, he learned the art of vertical and horizontal movements, but he was always thinking: Is it possible to respect the inevitability of history while living up to the moral principles in his heart? This inner conflict will drive him to find a third way.
