Confused

Between the coldness and darkness is the sea. No one in the mortal world can tell how deep it is, and no one can tell when the palace on the seabed sank. All I know is that there are ninety-nine and eighty-one copper bells in the corners of the eaves, which are pushed by the water flow and ring dullly. Like a heartbeat. Like a countdown. There was a boy who forgot who he was. He forgot about his home, his enemies, and the name that chased him until he was breathless - he only remembered the sea in his dream and the sound at the bottom of the sea.
