Transmigrating to a World of Demons: I Have a Heavenly Book for Slaying Demons

Three hundred years ago, the great demon upheaval was quelled. The surviving great demons were sealed beneath the Demon Cleansing Bureau, and countless youths were seized for "demon-nurturing experiments." Su Jin was the only "defective specimen" to survive.

He suppresses the rapidly rising rate of his demon transformation and hides a secret: he can connect to the consciousness of every experimental subject. He keeps his head down at the Demon Cleansing Bureau, waiting for a chance to escape while trying to uncover his origins. Why is his left eye a golden, slit-pupiled eye? Why are demon scales growing on the left side of his body? And why is the being sleeping inside the seal staring fixedly at him as it awakens?

Everyone around him harbors secrets. Mute spirit pet 072 trembles at the inner courtyard gate. The note Shen Yeli slips him says only, "Don't wake all the way." Sikong Duan, missing for years, reveals a hand identical to one from the fragments of his memories... As his rate of demon transformation climbs, the underground seal loosens, and the dark red demonic light leaking from the inner courtyard grows brighter. Only then does Su Jin discover that all the experiments point to a truth buried for three hundred years: he is no defective experimental subject. He is the "key" the sealed great demon has awaited for three hundred years, and the demon's still-unawakened soul.

A storm is brewing, and undercurrents are stirring. On one side is the warning, "Don't wake all the way," and on the other, the uncontrollable rise of his demon transformation. When the seal finally cracks and every fragment of memory comes together, should Su Jin accept the stolen past that was once his, or tear apart the identity others have imposed on him and live as himself? This is the story of a young man pushed along by fate, slowly finding himself again as he teeters between waking and remaining asleep.
