Yang Liu, an archivist, has just one pleasure in life: organizing records. One day, a murder takes place in the archive room. The victim’s death brings to light an old case buried for many years. The killer sets an astonishing trap of light and shadow. A piece of indisputable crime-scene photography sends the investigation in the wrong direction. Every piece of objective evidence seems to fit perfectly, yet the truth lies hidden in a fleeting moment as the sunlight shifts. How can this scheme, with sunlight as its stake, possibly be unraveled?
