Record of Corpses Recovered from the River Beach

In 1952, floods flooded the Yangtze River during the flood season. The turbulent river never stops, and the bottom of the water is filled with the souls of victims of war and people who died in vain in the old era. Chen Ahe is the last generation of ancestral corpse collectors on the riverside. Years ago, my father retrieved a sunken corpse in red clothes and then disappeared out of thin air. What remained was an old awning boat, a mutilated copy of "Hedu Records", and a set of taboos on corpse retrieval that no living person dared touch. The floods broke through the ancient river bottom, and the body of a woman in red who was chained to death, old murder cases that had been buried for decades, and nameless bones left over from the war all surfaced. A river of turbid water crosses life and death, and half a broken book catches an old friend.
