Fragments of Youdu

During the wave of reform and opening up in the 1990s, old book restorer Chen Mo was the last descendant of the Star Observation Bureau, a branch of the Qintian Prison in the Qing Dynasty. He holds the ancestral bronze soul-fixing compass in his hand, and possesses the secret technique of suppressing evil and tracking down evil spirits. A volume of "The Fragments of Youdu" left by Xu Fu records the location of the entrance to the underworld and the sealing method. Each page of secrets hides the calamity of life and death. As a strange sunken ship emerges from the Yellow River, the corpses of all the people kneeling in obeisance reveal the secret of the Jiuqu Water Eye. Chen Mo gathered retired scout Zhao Tiezhu and returned archaeologist Lin Waner, and the three of them investigated the anomaly. They traveled to the tidal flats of the Yellow River, the mountains of the Qinling Mountains, and the Loulan Desert, one after another to fight against the remnants of the cult that coveted the power of Youdu. The ancient Feng Shui secrets collide with modern archaeological science, and historical legends are intertwined with strange things. Following the clues in the fragments, the group traveled to forbidden secret places in various places, trying their best to seal the rifts in Youdu and guard the boundary between the world and the underground.
