Gray Realm: Nightmare

Lu Chen is a seventeen-year-old high school student. Since he was seven years old, he has been trapped in the same cyclical dream every night: a long and narrow gray-yellow passage, pale lights, and a wet and rustling unknown creature that is always chasing behind him. He ran for thousands of nights but never reached the finish line. Until that day, the "voice" in his dream persuaded him to stop and look back. He discovered for the first time that dreams are reality, and that endless passage is actually the embodiment of his own lifeline. This world has long been quietly infiltrated by a void creature called "Eclipse". They are born from the depths of the paradox of cause and effect. They are non-existent beings who make a living by eating the "lifeline" of human beings. The part of the lifeline that has been gnawed away will collapse into the "grey zone" - a void area that continues to spread like cancer cells. If it is not stopped, the real world will eventually degenerate into a chaotic void. Eclipses cannot be killed because they do not exist in any dimension. The only way to fight is to kill the projection of eclipse through the cyclic transformation of reality and dream, and rebuild the defense of the lifeline bit by bit. And those who can do this are the selected "Responders".
