Yunti Pass is the mouth of the ancient Yellow River in Xiangshui, Jiangsu Province. In the Southern Song Dynasty, the Yellow River diverted the Huaihe River, and the silt was deposited into layers of soil, shaped like a cloud ladder, hence its name. In the Ming Dynasty, a Dahe Guard garrison of 5,600 people was stationed. Wanghai Tower faced the east, and Du Fu and Mi Fu once visited it to compose poems. During the Jiajing period, Yang Lie, a descendant of the Yang family, served as a garrison at Yunti Pass. On the anti-Japanese battlefield, he captured Sato Sakura, who was disguised as a man - an orphan of a Ming Dynasty maritime merchant who bore a family full of blood feuds. From confrontation to mutual understanding, the two fell in love with each other at Wanghai Tower and their poems at Qixingquan. Sato Sakura was deported to Japan, and Yang Lie was demoted to a commoner. For hundreds of years, successive generations of descendants kept watch. When the Qing army went south, they bombed granaries and sealed the sea. During the Qianlong period, women disguised themselves as men to regulate the river. Six hundred years later, water conservancy engineer Yang Nianhai returned to Yunti Pass and dug out the iron box of his ancestor Shenquan, and all the truth came to light.
