Troubled times are divided into three parts, and heaven and earth are divided. In this vast world, there are only three religions: Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. The ten realms of Confucianism are: benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, trust, anger, loyalty, filial piety, brotherhood, and integrity. If the ten realms are perfect and the literary palace reaches the sky, then one can transcend the world and become a Confucian sage. The ten realms of Taoist practice are: tranquility, emptiness, purity, tranquility, mystery, darkness, penetration, thoroughness, return, and truth. When the ten realms are unified and the Tao body is flawless, one can transcend the mundane world and become an immortal. The ten realms of Buddhist practice are: emptiness, precepts, concentration, tranquility, wisdom, kindness, compassion, equanimity, enlightenment, and perfection. If there are no leaks in the ten realms and the Zen mind is perfect, you can transcend reincarnation and become a Buddha immediately. But the prosperous age has declined for a long time, the righteousness has gradually decayed, and the three religions have become separated, which ultimately trapped the world and the common people. Confucian scholars cling to ancient etiquette and rigidly adhere to dogma and shackles. The world has undergone tremendous changes, but Confucianism has remained unchanged. They have no name for benevolence and righteousness, but they are unable to quell the chaos of the troubled times and cannot save the displaced people. The Taoist sect is greedy for power in the secular world, uses the name of heaven to control states and counties, monopolizes geographical advantages, and uses a pure and empty skin to squeeze the reality of the people. The charm of the Tao is impure, and the heart of the Tao is prematurely turbid. Buddhist monks avoid the world and talk empty talk. They blindly preach about reincarnation, cause and effect, and blessings in the next life. They sit in ancient temples and ask for endless incense, but they are unwilling to bend over to overcome the suffering of the present and save the people in front of them. Each of the three religions has its shackles, its own selfish motives, and its barriers. If Confucianism cannot save the world, Taoism cannot save people, and Buddha cannot bring peace to the world. Then Confucianism is used to establish the mind, Taoism is used to establish the body, and Buddhism is used to stabilize the mind.
