Phoenix Song

"Phoenix Song" tells the story of how a useless person who was willing to die once again broke out of the circle and reshaped the rules of the martial arts. The work constructs a grand narrative system that spans the court and the rivers and lakes, and runs through the grievances of two generations. It takes the ups and downs of the male protagonist Shao Huping as the main line, and interweaves the history of "White Feather Night" with the reality of the Zhengtong era. The story progresses layer by layer, from the encounter of the hero and heroine in adversity, to the reshuffle of power in the world, to the reveal of the secret of life experience and the outbreak of emotional crisis. The structure is rigorous and the rhythm is clear. Different from the routines of traditional martial arts novels of "waste counterattack" and "hero saves beauty", "Phoenix Song" shows obvious "anti-routine" characteristics. The male protagonist Shao Huping did not recover after his martial arts was abolished. He has always been dealing with the world as a weakling with "no power to restrain a chicken", relying on wisdom rather than force. The heroine Lu Yunfang is a strong person in the power field, not a weak woman waiting to be rescued. This setting breaks the inherent pattern of "strong men and weak women" in martial arts novels.
